There’s A Day Today // Side Project

For some weird reason, there are hundreds of national days like ‘Come To Work Naked Day,’ ‘Hairball Awareness Day,’ and ‘Kiss A Ginger Day.’ Even weirder, marketers use and abuse these days for content, even if they’re not relevant to the brand or if it doesn’t make any sense for the brand to ‘observe’ them.

We created @theresadaytoday as a response to all these national days polluting content calendars. So instead of just posting about these national-whatever-days, we lived them for 365 days and grew the account with $0 in paid media. We even became micro-influencers in the process. (I like to pretend we did, at least.)
